Lauren Ribaudo

May 8, 1962 - January 22, 2024

In loving memory of Lauren Elizabeth Ribaudo, who died on Monday, January 22, 2024, at the age of 61. Lauren passed on peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She fought courageously and selflessly for seven months against the difficult odds of a rare form of brain cancer. A devoted wife of 35 years to Dennis Irvin, Lauren leaves behind a legacy of warmth and love.

Lauren was an alumna of Williams College with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She was not only intellectually vibrant, but a free spirit who embraced life with pure joy and enthusiasm. Lauren’s adventurous spirit led her to explore the world fueled by a deep appreciation for travel, classical art, and nature. She often professed her desire to “travel without a map.”

A loving mother, Lauren is survived, in addition to her husband Dennis, by her three daughters, Katharine Irvin of New York, NY, Caroline Irvin (Samson Mesghena) of New York, NY and Madeline Irvin of New York, NY. In addition to her children and husband, Lauren is survived by her father Ronald Ribaudo of Jersey City, NJ, her brother Clifford Ribaudo of Jersey City, NJ, and her sister-in-law, Bokyong Park of Jersey City, NJ.
She is pre-deceased by her mother, Madeline Ribaudo of Short Hills, NJ.
Family was at the center of Lauren’s world, and her unwavering love and support enriched the lives of those she held dear.

Lauren’s zest for life extended beyond her roles of wife and mother, as she was a successful entrepreneur, founding and leading two successful marketing companies.
Lauren had a large and devoted group of friends of all ages who adored her.

Above all else, Lauren was kind. Her wit, happy spirit, and joy for life will remain with all of us fortunate enough to have been a part of her love-filled journey.

In the wake of her passing, we celebrate the vibrant life Lauren led and the positive impact she had on the hearts of many.

In honor of Lauren, please consider a donation in support of Glioblastoma Research at NYU Langone where neurosurgeon Dr. Daniel Orringer is leading new efforts to develop therapeutic interventions for this devastating disease, a cause near and dear to Lauren.
